MWAP is Mafia Wars Auto Player, a very helpfull tool in Mafia Wars, by the way,, According to the Mafia Wars Game ToS, It’s illegal to use third party program like MWAP.

A sad news has come this afternoon in my email account, you can read this yourself :

If you have already signed up for a new account, please accept my apologies.

You may have heard a rumor that the above mentioned website received a cease and desist letter from Zynga’s lawyers.

That is true. The letter demanded that the site owner (in the USA) stop pretty much everything related to the MWAP script and discussions of it on the site. He decided that it was in his best interest to comply and closed the site.

He also removed his script from both userscripts.org and the GoogleCode site. He has given up all interest in having anything to do with all Zynga games and the website.

So, have you missed the camaraderie of the old site? The support that you could get when you had a problem? The tutorials and how-to’s? The exploits??? Have you been wondering what you were going to do when Zynga breaks the game again and your copy of MWAP no longer works?

Wonder and worry no more.

Playerscripts.com is a site created by a few volunteers with the aim of sharing our experiences with the automation of gaming, primarily on social networking sites.

This site exists because the game developers seem to get a bit miffed when we try to discuss these things on their sites, so this is a site for the dispossessed, those who see the line drawn in the sand and give it a joyful kick as they cross.

We are backing the developers of MWAP and the core group of admin and mods have agreed to come along. Script development is continuing again as well.

You could say that it has seen somewhat of a REBIRTH.

In addition to MWAP, we also intend to expand our interests into other scripts. We are hoping to get more users involved in scripting for both MWAP and other games so we’ve created a new forum for dissecting the MWAP script.

With this, we’ll all learn how it works and how javascript can be written for other applications. The site is still young and we are getting all of the bugs ironed out, but the forums and chat are up for everybody’s enjoyment.

Social Gaming Community

New for this year will be the introduction of a Social Gaming Community (launch Feb 2010) site at PlayerScripts.com where our members can interact with each other and create their own groups – very much like facebook, but dedicated to Social Gaming.
