My main topic last week was the proper use of Godfather points and as a part of that discussion I touched on the Lottery a little bit. Now I must humbly ask your forgiveness that I got some details wrong regarding the Lottery. I will start off this week by going into more detail about the Lottery and in doing so backtrack a little bit as I correct a couple of mistakes.

First – you need to know how to access the Lottery. At least once every 24 hours you should have it pop-up when you log in – generally requesting that you fill out a ticket and equally hoping that you will be incited to purchase additional tickets by way of Godfather points. During those times when the Lottery is not immediately available, you may access it by clicking on “Godfather” and then selecting “Daily Chance (Beta).”

At the top of the game window you will see the entry “This Week’s Daily Chance Ends in: X days” where X is how many days you have left to enter tickets. It is very important that you get your Lottery tickets in before that deadline and also important you use up your “Ticket Mastery” bonus or you will lose any ticket mastery credits you have accrued.

Regarding submitting tickets, I personally have not seen any pattern showing that picking random numbers is better or worse than auto-selecting numbers.

My main focus here is to talk about the “Ticket Mastery” bonus – as this seems to be the most valuable use of the daily Lottery from what I am able to discern. Here is a look at what the bonuses will earn you based upon how many tickets you submit:

1 Ticket = Random Collection Item (this “might” be your best chance at a Lottery collection item – but I have no data as to what the payout percentages are).

2 Tickets = Free Ticket. The value of this is two Godfather points.

3 Tickets = 5 Stamina points. Avoid this – it does not increase your total stamina by five points, it only adds five points to your existing “usable” stamina. You can get five stamina points easy enough by using up your existing stamina, wait about 25 minutes, then bingo – you have five stamina.

4 Tickets = 1 skill point. This is the most valuable one in my estimation. It will increase one of your skills by one point (you get to choose) and that increase is permanent. The value is 3.5 Godfather points.

5 Tickets = 20 Energy points. This is the same deal with the stamina points. Wait an hour and a half (roughly) and you will have earned back 20 energy.

6 Tickets = “up to 5 Godfather points.” This is identical to the monthly fan link that Zynga sends out (and we send to you in turn) where you get a random number of Godfather points ranging from zero to five. This is a gamble – if you get four or five points, it is the most valuable choice. I personally get two points every time I do it and that is what led to my error in the previous newsletter. I assumed the reward was a standard two points – that is literally how often I received that same reward. By the way, sorry for that assumption – I do try hard to test and confirm everything before I share it with you, please forgive my indiscretion. Also – thank you to those of you who pointed out my mistake in a kind and respectful manner.

There really is not much else to discuss regarding the Lottery. I have literally talked to hundreds of players on this topic and have found it very rare for anyone to win any Lottery collection items. I feel that anyone who is using up Wishlist space for Lottery pieces is making a dire mistake. You truly have better odds of getting 200 TNTs from a single player than you do of getting a Lottery item in your Wishlist. If you all send me Lottery items I will be sure to tell you what the prize is once you vault the collection, lol.

    The vault for the collection is 10% (in terms of frequency) added to all loot drops.
