This is an upcoming feature in Mafia Wars Game. You get Victory Point through fighting. It will accumulated so you can trade victory point with item / equipment.

Is there any Limit, to how many You can Buy? For example, if I won 1,000 Fights, (Which You are expected to do) then got 1,000, “Victory Points”, could I then, go to buy, say… 40 Silenced Snipers? That would be sick.
Many Mafia Wars Player out there have thousand stamina. A friend of mine have 6,000 stamina, he can easily have 501 Silenced Sniper Rifle and 501 Hazard Gear in no time :( .
